Meet Cheyenne

While my life path may have deviated from this decades-old proclamation, winding me through a career in marketing, graphic design, and writing, my passion and interest has only ripened with age. However, instead of now wanting to be the physician running from one room to another, working under the unwavering thumb of a hospital, my true desire is to personally support the women in those rooms in any way I am able. Through laughter, through tears, through intense pain or grief— I will never give up on you, as I have never given up on my passion and awe for birth.

my story

As a 5-year-old girl, I used to come home after a long day of half-day kindergarten, plant myself on the couch in-between my mom and box of crayons, and watch A Baby Story on TLC. I was completely and utterly enthralled by pregnancy, birth, and babies. If you currently had access to my elementary school yearbooks, you would notice me as the outlier on the What I Want to be When I Grow Up page where, among the prospective Veterinarians and Teachers, lay my pixie cut, pre-braces self proclaiming my intention of becoming an Obstetrician.

Born and raised in Indiana, I met my husband, Connor, in 2017 and became a Tinder success story in January 2020 when we married and had one fabulous month of marital normalcy until the world shut down. It's during this time that I turned to hobbies like embroidery, knitting, puzzles, and painting to find joy and solace in what I could make with my hands. This is what ultimately inspired the name Woven Within. Not only are we miraculously and meticulously woven together in our mother's womb, but it is a dream of mine to provide matching knit hats to my clients and their new babies.

I believe that my approaching 30th birthday has been the catalyst for me to chase after my long-held dream of being apart of the birthworker community. In March 2024, I became a certified doula with Birthworker Academy, and I hope to be able share my knowledge and expertise with the intention of preventing traumatic birth experiences along with empowering women to fully realize their own potential and to support the birth plan they set out to achieve.

How can I best support you?
