Babies & Bumps Recap – My Heart is Full!

This past weekend, I had the joy of being a vendor at Babies & Bumps in Indianapolis, and wow… my heart is still so full. I met so many incredible people—expecting parents, new parents, doulas, midwives, childbirth educators, labor & delivery nurses, teachers—you name it! It was an absolute thrill to chat with each of you about A Doula’s Guide to Labor Positions and hear your stories.

One of my favorite parts of the day was getting to show people the book in person. Once they saw it and flipped through the pages, so many were amazed by the detail, visuals, and ease of use. Being able to walk them through it—explaining how it can be used in real time during birth—was such a joy. The excitement and appreciation from those moments truly validated all the hard work, thought, and love I’ve poured into creating it.
I also learned a lot! Even though I ran a sale on my ebook, almost everyone preferred the physical book at full price—there’s just something about holding it in your hands. I met so many prospective clients who are beginning their parenthood journeys, and quite a few dads who were simply looking for a straightforward guide to support their partners in labor (which absolutely made my day).
As a vendor, this event was such a great learning experience, and I’m already looking forward to the next one—October 4th at the Indiana Birth & Beyond Expo, hosted by the Indiana Midwives Association. My prices may be increasing soon, so now is a great time to grab a copy of my book, ebook, or poster while they’re still at their current rate.
If you know of any conferences, expos, or events where you think I’d be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth, asked questions, flipped through the book, and shared your excitement—it truly means the world to me. Here’s to more connection, more conversation, and more opportunities to put birth tools in the hands of those who need them most.
xoxo
