Labor Positions Book Review: A Midwife’s Honest Take

I’ve poured so much of my heart into A Doula’s Guide to Labor Positions, so when I saw Caitlin French—CNM, MSN—reviewing it on TikTok, I giggled like a little school girl and galloped around the house. No chill whatsoever.

Caitlin is not only a certified nurse midwife, she’s also an educator and advocate who gets it. In her video, she flips through the book and shares how practical, inclusive, and genuinely helpful it is—not just for doulas, but for midwives, nurses, birth partners, and birthing people, too.

This is exactly why I made it: to be used in the moment, during birth prep, and as a quick-reference tool in labor. Seeing someone with her experience say, "This is such a great resource" means everything.
